About HighKey Enterprises:

HighKey is a leader in the aesthetic industry, dedicated to elevating the social media and Google presence of plastic surgeons through innovative branding, content creation, and lead generation.

We manage a portfolio of clients who are among the top 1% in the aesthetic field, aiming to significantly increase their market share in an industry poised to grow to over $200 billion by 2030.

Job Role:

Our Social Media Interns are crucial to our mission. They manage comprehensive social media strategies from inception to execution, directly impacting our clients’ growth, lead generation and brand visibility.

Interns are involved in every phase of the content lifecycle—from strategizing with social media managers to content creation, coordination with videographers, post-production, and final client approvals. This role solves critical challenges for our clients, primarily saving them time and providing growth through strategic content and effective brand positioning.

Here are some specific problems that this role helps to solve:

1. Time Management for Clients: Many clients, especially busy professionals like plastic surgeons, lack the time to manage and optimize their social media platforms. An intern in this role takes on the responsibility of managing these platforms, allowing the clients to focus on their primary work without neglecting their digital presence.

2. Innovative Content Strategies: You’ll explore the use of skits, props, and various narrative techniques that can enhance the storytelling aspect of the videos, making them more relatable and memorable. This also includes experimenting with different video formats and editing styles to maximize virality and audience retention.

3. Personal + Clinic Brand Growth: By effectively utilizing social media strategies, the intern helps increase the client’s visibility online. This is vital for attracting new patients or customers and establishing the client as a thought leader in their field.

4. Researching Trends: You’ll stay ahead by continuously researching current trends on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. This includes identifying popular formats, themes, and visual styles that resonate with audiences in the aesthetic and medical fields.

5. Analytics and Adaptation: Monitor performance data from social media platforms to understand what types of content work best. This ongoing analysis allows for quick pivots in strategy and helps in refining the approaches to achieve better results.

6. Script Creation for Virality: Developing scripts involves constructing a strong hook that grabs attention within the first few seconds, a body that effectively communicates the message or story, and a CTA that encourages viewers to engage further, whether by visiting a website, booking a consultation, or following the page for more content.

7. Social Media Cycle: Become an expert on the process as you move up from a Social Media Intern to a Social Media Manager...

  • Help kick off the client relationship by understanding their brand, audience, and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to craft a social media strategy that aligns with the client’s vision and market dynamics.
  • Help source and train local videographers tailored to the client’s needs, ensuring they understand the aesthetic and technical requirements.
  • Organize and plan content shoots, developing clear, creative briefs that outline the shoot’s goals, key messages, and visual style.
  • Ensure all parties are synchronized in their roles and responsibilities during the shoot, managing schedules and expectations effectively.
  • Oversee the immediate upload of footage post-shoot to secure media and begin the editing process.
  • Delegate raw content to the video editing team, providing them with guidance on the desired outcome based on the pre-defined strategy.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of edited content, ensuring alignment with client expectations and brand identity before final approval.
  • Obtain final client approval on content, then schedule and manage postings across appropriate social media platforms.
  • Monitor and report on content performance, using insights to refine and optimize ongoing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the execution of content strategies that enhance both personal and professional brands of plastic surgeons.
  • Help onboard new clients with initial content ideas, coordinate content creation with video editors & graphic designers, ensure alignment during shoots, and handle post-production processes, including review, approval, and scheduling.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions. These meetings are vital for syncing with the broader strategy for clients, discussing content performance, and receiving direct feedback and coaching.
  • Use HighKey software and tools such as Basecamp for project management, Notion for documentation and strategy management, and Hootsuite for social media management and scheduling, ensuring streamlined operations and effective communication.

Commitment:

This is an unpaid internship requiring 20 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time, paid position as an Assistant Social Media Manager within 6 months, starting at $18/hr plus commission.

Diversity Commitment:

HighKey is an equal-opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
